We believe that the Christian faith is good news

We are united by faith in Jesus Christ, believing that his death and resurrection has made it possible for people like us to be forgiven by God for turning away from him. This means we can be brought back into a right relationship with the living God, and know the certain hope of eternal life. Our greatest passion as a church is to grow in this good news and reach out with this good news to the people of Crowborough and beyond.

We believe God speaks and works today primarily through his word, the Bible

We are an evangelical church, meaning we believe God speaks and works today primarily through his word, the Bible, as his Holy Spirit helps us understand it. We believe the Bible is God's clear and reliable word to us today, and ultimate authority in all matters of what we believe and how we live. We believe through the teaching of the Bible the Holy Spirit brings people into a right relationship with God as they trust in Jesus, grows them in faith and holiness, and equips them to serve him in the church and world. Faithful Bible teaching therefore lies at the centre of our church life in order to help each other learn more about who God is and what he has done through Jesus Christ. Ultimately, we long to help each other to live lives that give him the honour he deserves.

We are an Anglican church

Although we welcome Christians from any denomination, we are committed to the historic teaching of the Church of England, as summarised in the thirty-nine Articles of Religion. We are one of two sister churches in the Parish of All Saints & St Richard’s Crowborough, working together in partnership, and are also active members of the Sussex Gospel Partnership.
